Can this be retrofit to my existing roller? Yes it can if the roller was purchased from Blinds Direct. Some manufacturers use different tubes so might not be compatible. You can however send us the width of your existing roller tube as well as a pic of the inner tube for us to confirm compatibility.

Is the motor Bluetooth or RF? Our units use RF signal which can communicate over longer distances

How often do I need to charge the motor? Normally once a year but depends on the number of times you opening and closing and weight of the roller fabric.

Is there a AC / Mains powered motor? We market battery operated motors but do have AC (3 pin plug) units available on request. Most homes dont have power provisioned by the blinds vicinity.

How many remotes do I need? It depends on your requirements. Normally we would recommend one per room. If you automating using Home controller then min one remote to programme the limits and then all the blinds can then be controlled by the Home controller.

How can I set times to open and close blinds? Yes you can control multiple blinds at the same time and configures times of day when the blinds can open and close.

What is the maximum distance I can use on the home controller? Depends on the thickness of your walls but 30m radius is the norm so ideal to place the home controller close as possible where the blinds are located.

Does the Home Controller need internet access? Yes it will require WIFI internet access. The Home controller will use your Wifi and home internet to communicate with the app on your phone. The Home controller will use RF to the roller mechanism.

Can I control my blinds from anywhere using home controller? Yes as your home controller will be connected to the internet.

Will my Home controller still control my blinds with scheduled open and close when my phone is not connected to internet? Yes as you will configure the schedule on your app and that is saved directed to the home controller.

How does load shedding impact my roller battery blinds? It wont impact as your blinds motor is using battery and not connected to the AC mains power.
